Welcome to the Exploring Our Soul Series of Tips which will show you many quick and easy ways to help you be aware of your Inner Spirit.
Through these techniques you will learn how to master the art of focusing your attention on Inner Spirit so it will become very familiar.
In this first tip will go back to our childhood and remember feeling the spirit of someone or something we really cared for.
When we were children we were naturally born with the capacity to feel spirit. We could feel the spirits of the people around us, the animals, perhaps a pet dog or cat.
We will explore how we can easily feel Spirit again through those memories.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip we practice slowing down our thinking, through meditation, in order to become familiar with the energy feeling or our Soul.
We cannot be in the thinking zone and feel Spirit.
Meditation creates a more sensitive state of awareness so we can actually experience our Soul.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I describe a simple technique for tuning into Spirit that uses sound.
You cannot explore your soul without quieting your mind and entering into a peaceful state.
When you are meditating and find a thought or mood that won’t let you enter that peaceful state, try letting yourself freely express any sound out loud that comes to you.
You may find that sound works well to pop that stubborn thought or mood so you can explore your soul.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I talk about the true source of power in prayer that connects us to Spirit. I learned this technique from my mother as a young child as she helped me overcome my fear of nightmares. She made me kneel down with her next to the bed and she prayed out loud.
She was aligned with this Jesus. She was Jesus. I felt the presence that was more than my mother. And because the presence was there, the power was there. I felt that what she asked for was aligned with the power.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I discuss how to remove our Persona Masks in meditation so we can be aware of Inner Spirit.
The ego builds personas or personalities, I call masks. Masks are essential in living in society and the everyday world. However, persona masks are limiting because they prevent us seeing inside. Therefore, we are unable to become familiar with Inner Spirit.
This technique of Removing Ego masks enables me to become aware of my Inner Spirit.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I describe how to use sound to find peace within our Inner Spirit when our thoughts are out of control.
I describe how I use a particular set of words, actually words with sound, just like a mantra. Those words and sounds start to have an energetic flow that pushes the thoughts out.
After 3-5 minutes a certain quiet space comes over us from behind the words, and in that silence comes peace and relief, perhaps joy.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I describe how to touch the Inner Presence that lays behind all our stories, characters, relationships and explorations we are having as a physical being.
When we enter a meditative state and dissolve into the presence we perceive that we are an observer who is experiencing the calm behind everything.
We know that we are not just our Ego. We are not just our persona or life stories. It is quite clear that we are the Presence of our Inner Spirit.
In this Exploring Our Soul Tip I describe a technique of closing our eyes and comparing the limited outer world of concreteness, thought and Ego, with our Inner, limitless world, beyond time and space.
As we consciously contrast the outer limited reality with the limitless inner reality we become more and more familiar with the feeling of our Inner Presence, the Observer, Our Inner Spirit, and our Soul.
